Deeply Connect Philadelphia was founded by Deep Shah in 2020.  While Shah has been involved in numerous volunteer opportunities around the city, including ad-hoc volunteer events, serving as a Director and Treasurer on a 501(c)(3), and serving as a formal and informal mentor to high-school through graduate students, as well as early career professionals, Shah wanted to create a program where students in Philadelphia are able to connect with folks successful in their professions.  By providing students the flexibly in cultivating their own program and relationship with their mentor(s), Shah believes students are able to better take control and ownership of their professional development.

Shah was born and raised in Philadelphia, attended Villanova University's School of Business, and currently works in the Accounting/Finance industry.  Shah began his career at KPMG in the firm's Accounting Methods and Credit Services Practice where he led highly technical tax consulting projects for clients predominantly in the pharmaceutical and manufacturing industries.  Shah also spent time at Chatham Financial advising senior leaders at private equity, global real estate, and corporate clients in hedging foreign currency and interest rate risk with derivatives as well as navigating highly complex hedge accounting issues.  Shah is involved in Philadelphia's residential real estate market where he has invested in new construction as well as existing projects.  Shah has led simple purchase and sale agreements to more complex multi-year post-settlement declarant, HOA board, and legal negotiations.

Shah believes everyone has a social responsibility.  While there may be a lot of discussion as to what that responsibility is, who that responsibility is towards, and whether that responsibility ever ends, Shah believes everyone needs to give back so we can grow together and learn from one another to make the world more inclusive, equitable, and loving .
